Michael Wolf Snyder Memorial

Production Sound Mixer Michael Wolf Snyder passed away in early March. Having worked as boom operator, sound director, and production sound mixer, Wolf earned a posthumous BAFTA nomination for his production sound mixing work on Nomadland. David Snyder, Wolf’s father, shared that his son “suffered from Major Depression for many years” and took his own life. Dr. Snyder, who is a psychiatrist, continued, “I hope that the shocking nature of Michael’s death will alert others to speak up, risk being vulnerable, and seek the help that they need.” The CAS extends our condolences to Wolf’s family, friends, and colleagues.
