Adam Schlesinger | Songwriter/Music Producer

An Emmy and Grammy winner and Oscar nominee, songwriter and music producer Adam Schlesinger passed away in April from complications from COVID-19. While Schlesinger’s songs appeared in many films, he was nominated for an Oscar and a Golden Globe for writing the theme to That Thing You Do, directed by Tom Hanks. In the television world, Adam earned Emmy nominations or wins for his work with Sesame Street, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, A Colbert Christmas, and the Tony Awards broadcast. He was also nominated for two Tony Awards for his work on the musical Cry-Baby. Adam’s broad musical reach across film, music, television, and theatre will be missed.
