Master of Ceremonies: Alan Rosenberg (L.A. Law)

Career Achievement Recipient

Walter Murch (Re-Recording Mixer, Sound Designer, Film Editor) received the Lifetime Achievement Award, and it was presented by Ken Muria (Assoc. Dean USC Film School) who also read a letter from Francis Ford Coppola, Caleb Deschanel (Cinematographer), and Kiki Morris (Skywalker Sound) presented a letter from George Lucas.

Michael Minkler presented the 1993 Emmy Winners with plaques.

James Corbett presented plaques to the Academy Winners.

Michael Minkler also shared a remembrance of Arthur Piantadosi (One of the “Founding Fathers of the Cinema Audio Society).

This was the first year of CAS awards/trophies. James R. Cook (CAS President in 1978-79) announced the winners.
