Tom Menrath CAS
Pro audio veteran Tom Menrath passed away in April after complications following an automobile accident. Describing himself as a “gear-obsessed musician,” Tom demonstrated his passion and knowledge over a career spanning four decades. Among his many ventures, he is credited with creating Guitar Center’s GC Pro division, serving as director of strategic development at Vintage King, and worked in collaboration with Avid and Sweetwater Sound, to name a few. In 2016, he became VP/audio team director for integrator Advanced Systems Group where his knowledge and experience across multiple facets of the pro audio industry were utilized daily. Many memories of Tom and thanks for his help in opening doors to the industry have been shared across social media. The CAS shares our condolences to Tom’s family, friends, and colleagues.
