Last year we made important revisions to the CAS Awards:
The addition of a new category:
Outstanding Sound Mixing for an Animated Motion Picture
We also separated the Television Series category into two categories:
Outstanding Sound Mixing for Television Series – 1 Hour
Outstanding Sound Mixing for Television Series – ½ Hour
Also, ADR, Foley and Scoring mixers are now eligible for nomination as team members in the two Motion Picture categories, Television Movies and Mini-Series, and Television Series – 1 Hour categories.
This year we are honoring Re-recording Mixer Andy Nelson, with our CAS Career Achievement Award!
I’d like to thank everyone in advance for their participation. I look forward to seeing you all in the Crystal Ballroom of The Millennium Biltmore Hotel on February 22, 2014 at the 50th Annual CAS Awards.
Please mark it on your calendars!
All the best,
David E. Fluhr, CAS
President of The Cinema Audio Society
