Los Angeles — Friday Feb 16th 2024 — Tom Papa, the renowned comedian, will host the 60th Cinema Audio Society Awards on March 2, 2024, at the Beverly Hilton. Tickets are on sale now on the CAS website.

“We are thrilled to have Tom Papa host this milestone awards event. His experience in film, television, and radio gives him a unique understanding of the role of sound in entertainment,” said Peter Kurland, President of the Cinema Audio Society. “I am a big fan and having Tom host our 60th-anniversary will guarantee a fantastic evening of both fun entertainment, and deserved recognition for those who bring audio to our favorite television shows and feature films.”

“I have the utmost respect for the skill, craft and artistry that goes into sound mixing,” says Tom. “It’s an honor to host the CAS awards. I know it’s going to be a fantastic evening, I hope I sound okay.”

Renowned for over two decades as a stand-up comedian, Tom Papa’s comedic genius extends across various mediums, from film and television to books, podcasts and live performances. With five highly acclaimed Netflix specials, including the recent “What A Day!” filmed at the iconic Wilbur Theatre, Tom’s wit captivates audiences worldwide. As the host of the weekly podcast ‘Breaking Bread with Tom Papa’ and the lively daily Netflix radio show ‘What A Joke with Papa and Fortune,’ he consistently delivers entertaining conversations. Tom’s impressive filmography includes roles in hit films like “The Informant,” “Analyze That,” “The Haunted World of El Superbeasto,” television series “Behind the Candelabra,” “The New Adventures of Old Christine,” and “The Marriage Ref” of which he was host.

Last year, Tom also released his highly anticipated third book, We’re All in This Together…So Make Some Room. The book compiles comedic essays that aim to unite us through our stupidity. Every mistake has already been made, and this should bring us great comfort as we join together in our fight for survival, or at least in our attempt to get through the day.

Tom is currently on his Tom Papa: 2023 Comedy Tour! Tour and when he’s not on the road, Tom lives in Los Angeles with his wife, two daughters, a cat and dog where he spends most of his time writing and baking bread.
