CAS Supports 695’s Holiday Celebration

On December 3rd Local 695, the local representing many of our production sound mixers, threw a Holiday Party at Pickwick Gardens in Burbank, CA. The Cinema Audio Society was pleased to be an event sponsor and to add to the merriment.
The donation from CAS purchased several raffle prizes, including a Nintendo Switch, two UHD televisions, BOSE headphones, tickets to the LA Philharmonic Orchestra, a spa day in Ojai, and a winery day at the Europa Village. The Nintendo Switch was won by one of the guild’s recently graduated Y-16A trainees, a single mother of two whose kids had been asking for one for the past couple of years. It was a very heartwarming moment, and the community in the room cheered in support of her good fortune.
